Photographs are a wonderful way to remember your visit to Red Oak Lavender Farm. Best time to capture the lavender in bloom in during the month of June. We encourage our regular guests to take pictures with their own cell phone or hobby camera to take photos of wildlife, flowers, your own family, but be sure to tag us on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and please link us or hashtag us. We love to see our visitors at our farm! There is no extra fee for unprofessional photographers.
June the Field Is In Bloom
We allow photography to professional photographers for a fee on the farm from Wednesday - Friday 11-3 pm and Saturday 10-4 pm. The fee to take professional photos with a client is $25 per hour since you are a business. We do not offer less time. We do offer private photography booking times when the shop is closed to only a few professional photographers at a very limited booking.
Photographers have had amazing photos that are special for a lifetime. Photographers are responsible for their clients. Please do not get on plants or in them, and defiantly do not pick the lavender. If you need some lavender bundles for your photos please purchase a bundle in the shop. If lavender is picked to short it can cause the plant to die.
Policies: No refunds. A deposit of 50% is due March 1st or at time of booking if after April 1st to reserve your date and time. Balance is due June 1st. If it is raining here at the farm during your booking we will try our best to reschedule, but may be a weekday. We cannot guarantee clear days, since rain is an act of God.
*Note to professional photographers: there may be people in the fields while you are taking your photos during open shop hours.
Aerial Photography/Video: The use of drones or any aerial vehicle are strictly prohibited unless we give written permission. We want our visitors to be relaxed and have a quiet setting and enjoy their trip to our lavender farm.
Artists: You are more than welcome to join us during regular business hours and there is not a fee to paint in the fields. Be advised that the farm is a working farm and the use of farm equipment may be used during your stay. Also understand that the 'spot' you decided to set-up at, may not be suitable for the working part of the farm and you may be asked to move. Just please let us know when you would be arriving when and it must be during our regular store hours.
We ask that if you get a particularly good shot on the farm, that you share it with us for use on our Facebook page or Instagram. And add it to our Google page with any good reviews.
Red Oak Lavender Farm reserves the right to refuse admittance for photography and/or change its photo policy without advanced notice. Some areas of the farm may not be available the day of your visit due to unforeseen circumstances. Thank you!
