How to Grow Dahlias

Learn for our expert, David Duffey, who leaned how to grow dahlias as a small boy and as an adult has been growing dahlias for six years. His dahlia field contains 1,500 dahlias of all varieties. He will take you step by step on how to prepare your garden, how to plant your dahlias, to de-bud and cut your dahlia, how to get them through our hot humid August, how to overwinter dahlias, what are tubers, and how to produce more dahlias with now dahlia.  This class is all you need to enjoy growing dahlias for many, many years to come.

Dahlias are an amazing flower, so beautiful people cannot believe they are real! They make great cut flowers to enjoy in the house or give away to family and friends.

You will revive a handout to take how on the class for yourself to keep as a reference. 

What to wear: Please wear comfortable clothing, hat, closed toed shoes, and gloves.

Class will be at the small barn overhang and is a rain our shine class.

Restrooms: we do have a portable potty, but there are more public restrooms just 3 miles away at the corner of Hwy 400/19 and Hwy 60 (Waffle House, 2 gas stations, Subway, Publix, Home Depot, and Tractor Supply).

This class is non-refundable since seating is limited and materials are needed to purchase. You may gift your ticket/receipt to a friend or family if you find you cannot attend. You may even sell your ticket/receipt if you cannot attend, but you cannot use our social medias to sell. We are so busy here at the farm we cannot sell your ticket for you.
