Visit the first largest lavender farm, Red Oak Lavender Farm, in Georgia and experience the amazing beauty and aroma of 5 acres of lavender fields in full purple blooms of 19 different varieties of lavender.
Lavender is only in bloom once a year in June until it must be harvested to create our handcrafted lavender products. Experience a true working lavender farm and its pure serenity of our lavender and immense yourself in the soothing and gentle fragrance of our lavender creating a calm ambiance that promotes relaxation and peace and indulge your eyes with the truly amazing sight of purple blooms.
Cost: 25.00 + 3.00 service fee per car load of up to 6 people. You must purchase this for entrance before arriving at the farm, since entrance will be limited.
Winter Discount of Lavender & Flower Buckets: 35.00 or Lavender Bouquet 12.00. Day of festival purchase if available will be 39.00 and 15.00. So save and grab your reserve you ticket now.
*Note: we will not have presale parking or you-picks on any other day in June, but be if available day of arrival, which does not guarantee you entrance or you-picks.
What to expect day of festival: See the harvest in action or see people picking lavender and flowers to take home. Enjoy the shade of our trees at the back of the property or the small barn overhang, and deck with picnic tables while sipping on our famous lavender lemonade or scrumptious lavender ice cream, and listening to our music drifting across the fields.
Enjoy your own picnic in the lavender fields just as they do in France (be sure to bring your own trash bag and pick up when you are finished).
*Note ice cream is made by Mountain Fresh Creamery with our culinary lavender. Mountain Fresh Creamery milk their own grass feed cows. We sell the lavender ice cream in our lavender shop. You-pick lavender sell out fast, so be sure to get your ticket while purchasing your entrance ticket to ensure you experience the full enjoyment of the farm. Tickets are limited so all guests can relax and enjoy their visit to the farm. Please be sure to pick the correct date and times to visit, since we cannot change dates. Thank you for understanding.
Please remember that no professional cameras are allowed for taking photos of people at the farm. You may take photos of the wildlife (butterflies, birds, and bees) and of the lavender. Cell phone cameras are perfect and we love you to take pictures, but please tag us in your social medias pages. We do have an in house professional photographer: Melissa Giles. Cost to visit festival is $25 per vehicle + 3.00 service fee, this means up to 6 people per vehicle. So fill up the mini van, vw beetle, or jeep. Large vans and buses are not permitted on this day, but you may make reservations on other non festival days with our shop.
Reserve your spot now, since parking is limited. Buses will need to contact us and make other arrangements. We will have a list of people that have purchased tickets at the gate on each day.
We will not have vendors, food trucks, rides, jungle gyms, bouncy houses or swings this day. Be sure to pick your correct day and time, since no exchanges can be made. Time is for parking of 3 hours allotment, which is plenty of time to enjoy time at the farm. You will need to move your car at the three hour mark to make room for the next session.
*There will be other days the farm is open, but we will not be distilling, lavender lemonade to sample, or reserving space for parking or you-picks this 2025 year.
You-Pick lavender buckets are available now at discount price to reserve for 35.00 per bucket (50 lavender stems per bucket and an array of blooming flowers, including sunflowers). Lavender bouquets for festival are 12.00 to reserve with 30 lavender stems. Sorry, no children under 12 are allowed to cut lavender, since cutting lavender is the wrong place can kill it.
Sorry no public bath rooms, but we do have a portable-potty that is cleaned weekly. There are public restrooms (Publix, Waffle House, Gas Stations) at the corner of Hwy 19/400 and Hwy 60/Chestatee, which is just 4 miles away. There are plenty of public restrooms in Dawsonville as well.
Pet Policy: Sorry no dogs/pets allowed. We have chickens and they consider dogs as a predator and will not lay eggs for us for many days after they have seen a dog. We also grow culinary lavender - so no pets near these beauties. We do allow certified service dogs - we follow the ADA guidelines.
Be sure to wear comfortable clothing, a hat, and closed toe shoes, since bees love our dandelions growing in the grass. *We will have a misting tent set up to cool you down.
*This is a rain or shine event. Rain dates will be announced by us only if a storm is predicted at the farm, so watch for email announcements if it is needed to rescheduled.
