Lavender and Flowers for a Blooming Year!

Lavender and Flowers for a Blooming Year!

January 27, 2021 0 Comments

We heard you for adding other flowers to our farm! We will be not only planting more lavender this year, but also planting flowers in gardens and rows to please your senses and to sell bouquets (fresh and dried), and also flowering plants in containers. David added Dahlias two years ago and we have bought hundreds to plant this spring. We have been educating ourselves, researching, and germinating over winter to really bloom with Dahlias and other flowers this year. This will allow us to have blooms from Spring - Autumn with, not just lavender, but also Tulips, Alliums, Snapdragons, Delphiniums, Foxgloves, Poppies, Aster, Salvia, Echinacea, Sweet Peas, Black Eyed Susans, Lace Flowers, Lisianthhus, Forget-Me-Nots, Columbine, Hollyhocks, Lupine, Ranunculus, and a few more. Wow!  Senses over load! Have your cameras ready!

Here are some of our Foxglove babies that will look like the mature ones.

Here David and Mason are finishing our huge raised bed where our French garden flowers will go in. We have a beautiful gazebo going in right next to this garden and then adding lavender and flowers around it. Won't this be amazing to sit, relax, and take photos?
Here you can see an example of wobble fencing we will be adding to our herb gardens and wreath flower beds. I love the look of the victorian/colonial fencing. We are also adding to our herb gardens this year with Comfrey, Calendula, St. John's Wort, Lemon Balm, Nasturtiums, Holy Basil, and we will again have our garden herbs this year. If you love to also garden check out our array of flower and herb seeds in our farm shop.
Here are just some of the Dahlia beauties we are adding this year:

No worries, we are also adding more lavender to new fields and even extending other rows! We will have lavender baby plants for sale the end of April through July. They go fast, so be sure to put this time on your calendar.
We are looking  forward to seeing you this year and enjoy yourself among our blooming fields! Our shop will have plenty of flowers and lavender related products just for you!
